Eastern India Science Fair 2026
Our school once again made us all proud by achieving yet another remarkable milestone at the Eastern India Science Fair 2026, held at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata, from 13th to 16th January 2026. Two of our students, Master Binochan Neopane of Class V and Master Avishkar Khatiwada of Class XI, represented our school at the state-level (Eastern Region – West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Jharkhand) science exhibition, along with our Science Head Teacher, Mr. Indra Bahadur Khatiwada. They demonstrated their innovative project on Waste Management for Sustainable Development. Their project included an effective system to control air pollution, water pollution, wet waste management, dry waste management, and e-waste management. They were selected for this prestigious event after securing 4th position at the Darjeeling District Science Fair 2025–26, organized by the North Bengal Science Centre, Matigara, Siliguri.
A total of 188 innovative projects were showcased at the event. From West Bengal, 49 projects were demonstrated; from Odisha, 41 projects; 23 projects were presented by engineering colleges from different regions; and 36 projects were displayed by other institutions. Out of all the participating projects, our school secured 2nd position from the state of West Bengal, and among all participants from the Eastern Region, five institutions received a Special Award for their excellent innovations — and our school was proud to be one of them. The competition was extremely tough, and our students confidently explained their project, impressing the judges with their clarity and innovation.
In addition to this achievement, our participating students also presented a beautiful cultural dance, showcasing their multi-talented skills and captivating the audience. Standing tall among the leading institutions of the region, our school has achieved this remarkable milestone, highlighting its dedication, discipline, innovation, and dynamic growth. The dedication and teamwork shown by our students and teacher throughout the four-day event led to this well-deserved success, bringing immense pride and honor to our school.
